Car Loan for Bad Credit

19 Year Old Car Loan No Credit Don’t Want to Cosign

Posted on | July 13, 2011

I’m 19, and have a full-time and part-time job, but I don’t have any credit yet and my parents don’t want to cosign for me. Is there a way that I could still get a loan and make car payments?

The correct answer is probably not. But that shouldn’t stop you from trying. Go to a local Credit Union, they have the best rates and the best customer service.

The smart thing to do is to start your credit history with something small and build on that. Do you have a cell phone? Who doesn’t these days? If the bill is in your name you are building credit. Go to Best Buy and apply for credit to buy something small like a laptop or a TV and build your credit by paying off that credit card quickly. Everyone has to start somewhere and you don’t generally start with a car loan.

If you’ve been on the job for a while, if you have reasonable down payment cash and your job is stable and you earn enough income to support a small loan then you will probably be approved.

With that said nobody is going to approve a loan for a brand new Camaro SS or a BMW but if you are looking for a small loan for a decent used car you’ll probably get approved at a Credit Union.

Depends how long u got job. you can get loan if u put down very large deposit.this shows bank you know how to save money.you have to go to a small dealer. they play with the numbers better
